There are hundreds of IPTV services, and most websites look the same. This guide gives you eight simple checks to choose an IPTV subscription with confidence. They work for any provider, including us.
What an IPTV subscription actually is
An IPTV subscription gives you access to TV channels and a video library over the internet. You do not get a box or a dish. Instead you receive login details, usually an M3U link and an Xtream Codes login (a server address, username and password). You enter those details in a player app on your TV, phone or computer.
That means there are always two parts:
- The IPTV service, which provides the channels.
- The player app, such as Kyro Player or CR7 Player, which shows them.
Keep these apart when you compare. A player app with no subscription shows nothing, and a subscription with no compatible app is useless.
Check 1: Is there a real free trial?
The best IPTV service for you is the one that works well on your own connection. Only a trial can show that. Look for a trial that gives you a real login and does not ask for card details. You can try ours for free.
Check 2: Are your channels included?
Write down the five channels you watch most. Then check the provider's channel list for each one. A long number of channels means little if your favourite sports or home-country channels are missing. Our channel list is searchable by name and country.
Check 3: Does it work on your devices?
Ask which apps the provider supports, and check that those apps exist for your TV:
- Samsung and LG Smart TVs have their own app stores.
- Fire TV Stick often needs apps installed with the Downloader app.
- Apple TV, iPhone, iPad and Android TV have the widest choice of apps.
Our devices page shows which app we suggest for each device.
Check 4: How many screens can watch at once?
A plan for one screen means one stream at a time. If the family watches in different rooms, choose a plan with more connections. It is cheaper than buying several plans.
Check 5: Which player app will you use?
The app decides how the service feels every day: the menu, the TV guide, how fast channels switch. Some apps need a MAC address activation on a website, others let you log in directly.
We recommend Kyro Player on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Android TV, because you log in with Xtream Codes in the app and there is no website step. On Samsung and LG TVs, apps such as CR7 Player are common. Compare them in CR7 Player vs Kyro Player.
Also check whether the app has its own price. Many player apps offer a free trial and then charge a small fee for a licence. That fee is separate from your IPTV plan.
Check 6: Is support easy to reach?
Send a question before you buy. A provider that answers quickly and clearly before the sale will usually help after it too. WhatsApp support is practical, because you can send photos of error messages.
Check 7: Is the refund policy clear?
A good provider explains when you can get a refund, in plain words. Be careful with services that have no policy at all. Ours is simple: ask within 24 hours, with less than 2 hours of viewing and no shared login. Read our refund policy.
Check 8: Compare the real price per month
Divide the plan price by the number of months. A 12 month plan is usually much cheaper per month than a monthly plan. Then check whether the plan renews automatically. If it does, set a reminder. Our plans do not auto-renew.
Lifetime plans can make sense if you are sure you will keep the service for years. If you are not sure yet, start with a shorter plan.
Quick checklist
| Check | What good looks like | | --- | --- | | Free trial | Real login, no card needed | | Channels | Your top 5 channels are listed | | Devices | A known app exists for your TV | | Screens | Enough connections for your home | | Player app | Simple login, TV guide support | | Support | Fast, clear answers before you buy | | Refunds | A written policy with clear conditions | | Price | Low price per month, no surprise renewal |
Summary
To choose an IPTV subscription, test before you pay, check your own channels and devices, pick the right number of screens and a player app you like, and read the refund policy. The best IPTV service is not the one with the biggest numbers on its homepage. It is the one that passes these eight checks in your home.
